By accessing or using our puzzle services, features, content or any related applications, you agree to be legally bound by these comprehensive Terms of Service. Please read them carefully and thoroughly before engaging with our puzzles. If you do not agree to all of these terms, you must immediately discontinue use of our services. Our puzzles are intended for users aged 13 years or older, and by accessing our services you affirm that you meet this age requirement or have obtained parental consent.

1. Puzzle Usage and Restrictions

Mini Crossword provides exclusive daily crossword puzzles strictly for personal, non-commercial entertainment purposes. You may solve our puzzles for your individual enjoyment but may not systematically extract, reproduce, redistribute, or create derivative works from our puzzle content without express written permission. Our "Daily Challenge" feature operates on a strict one-attempt-per-calendar-day basis, and any attempt to circumvent this restriction through technical means (including but not limited to system clock manipulation, VPN usage, or multiple account creation) will result in immediate termination of access privileges.

The fundamental intellectual challenge of solving puzzles manually is core to the Mini Crossword experience. Accordingly, the use of any automated puzzle-solving tools, scripts, bots, or external assistance programs is expressly prohibited. Public sharing of complete puzzle solutions that could spoil the experience for other users is strictly forbidden and may result in account suspension. We employ sophisticated detection systems to identify cheating behavior and maintain leaderboard integrity.

2. User Conduct and Responsibilities

When participating in our crossword community through puzzle submissions, comments, or other interactive features, you agree to maintain the highest standards of conduct. All user-generated content including but not limited to custom puzzles, clues, and comments must be original, appropriate for general audiences, and free from any harmful, discriminatory, or NSFW material. You expressly warrant that you possess all necessary rights to any content you submit and that such content does not infringe upon any third-party intellectual property rights.

We employ a zero-tolerance policy towards harassment, hate speech, or any form of abusive behavior in our community spaces. Our moderation team actively monitors all user interactions and reserves the right to remove any content that violates these standards without prior notice. Repeated violations will result in permanent account termination and may lead to legal action in cases of severe misconduct. Users may report violations through our in-app reporting system available 24/7.

3. Intellectual Property Rights

All Mini Crossword content including but not limited to puzzle designs, grid layouts, clue databases, scoring algorithms, visual assets, and unique gameplay mechanics are the exclusive intellectual property of Mini Crossword and its licensors. Our distinctive 5x5 grid configuration with proprietary shaded square patterns, daily puzzle selection methodology, and cumulative puzzle database spanning from 2020 to present are specially protected features. While you retain ownership of your original user-generated content, you grant Mini Crossword a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and modify such content within our services.

Educational institutions seeking to use our puzzles for classroom purposes may request special licensing arrangements. Any unauthorized commercial use, reproduction, or distribution of our puzzle content will be considered copyright infringement and pursued to the fullest extent of the law. We employ digital fingerprinting technology to track unauthorized use of our puzzle content across platforms.

4. Third-Party Content and Links

Our service may occasionally incorporate or reference third-party content such as dictionary definitions, encyclopedia excerpts, or crossword-related articles. These materials are provided for reference purposes only. Mini Crossword does not control, endorse, or assume responsibility for the accuracy, completeness, or availability of any external content. Your use of any third-party materials is at your own risk and subject to the terms and conditions of the respective content providers.

5. Service Availability and Quality

Mini Crossword puzzles and services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. While we strive to maintain uninterrupted service and puzzle quality, we cannot guarantee that our services will be available 100% of the time or that all puzzles will be completely free from errors. Occasionally, clues may require post-publication correction, and we reserve the right to make such corrections without prior notice. Scheduled maintenance windows typically occur weekly on Tuesdays from 2:00 AM to 4:00 AM EST and will be announced in advance through our notification system.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Mini Crossword and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or goodwill, service interruption, or computer damage resulting from your use of or inability to use our services. Your sole and exclusive remedy for dissatisfaction with our services is to discontinue using our puzzles. Certain jurisdictions do not allow limitations on implied warranties or liability for incidental damages, so these limitations may not apply to you.

7. Account Termination Policy

We reserve the unconditional right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms of Service or is harmful to other users, Mini Crossword, or third parties, or for any other reason at our sole discretion. Termination may result in the permanent loss of access to your account and all associated data including but not limited to puzzle streaks, solving statistics, and saved progress. In cases of severe violations, we may implement device-level bans to prevent repeat offenders from accessing our services.

8. Modifications to Terms

Mini Crossword reserves the right to modify or replace these Terms of Service at any time at our sole discretion. We will provide notice of material changes through our website, email notifications, or in-app alerts at least 30 days prior to the changes taking effect. Your continued use of our services following the posting of any changes to these Terms constitutes acceptance of those changes. The "Last Updated" date at the bottom of this document will reflect the most recent revision date. We recommend reviewing these Terms periodically for changes.

9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal suit, action, or proceeding arising out of or related to these Terms or the Mini Crossword services shall be instituted exclusively in the federal or state courts located in Wilmington, Delaware. You waive any and all objections to the exercise of jurisdiction over you by such courts and to venue in such courts.

10. Dispute Resolution

Before filing any claim against Mini Crossword, you agree to attempt to resolve the dispute informally by contacting us at support@minicrossword.run. If we cannot resolve the dispute within 60 days of notification, both parties agree to resolve any claims through binding arbitration rather than in court, except that either party may bring suit in court to enjoin infringement or other misuse of intellectual property rights. The arbitration will be conducted by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Commercial Arbitration Rules.
